Food Safety and Security Bill

The Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment introduced the Food Safety and Security Bill (FSSB) for First Reading in Parliament on 12 November 2024.

 The FSSB seeks to:

  1. Consolidate and refresh existing food-related legislation;
  2. Strengthen Singapore’s food safety regime to better protect consumers and public health; and
  3. Keep pace with emerging challenges in safeguarding food security.
