Renewing your licence for Food Processing Establishment, Coldstore or Slaughterhouse
Licences are valid for 1 year. You must renew your licence before the expiry date.
Who can renew the licence?
The authorised person of the company holding the licence can use SingPass or CorpPass to renew the licence via the GoBusiness portal.
When do I renew?
Operators will receive an email notification for licence renewal 2 months before the licence expiry date.

How do I make payment?
You must make payment before the licence expiry date. You can pay through GIRO, the GoBusiness portal, or AXS. For more details on payments, see Payments.
To make payment via GIRO, you must have an existing GIRO arrangement with SFA. The renewal fees will be deducted about 21 days before the licence expiry. Ensure that there are sufficient funds in your account.
Your licence will be renewed when you have successfully made the payment.
You must renew your licence before the expiry date. You will not be able to renew the licence on or after the date of expiry and must cease operations immediately. You must submit a new application and obtain a new licence before you can resume operations.
How do I get a copy of my licence?
Once your licence is successfully renewed, log into the GoBusiness portal to retrieve the QR code from the licence certificate.
Scan the QR code to view the details of your licence, such as the licence validity period.
How long will it take for my licence details to be updated?
It will take up to 5 working days for the new validity period and expiry date to be reflected on the Track Records for Licensed Food Establishments database.

Registrations are valid for 1 year, and will be renewed yearly before the registration expiry date.
When do I renew?
You will receive an email notification for renewal 2 months before the expiry date via the GoBusiness Portal. If you wish to cancel your registration, see cancel your licence/registration.
How do I renew?
Warehouse registrations are renewed yearly at no charge.
How do I get a copy of my registration?
Log into the GoBusiness portal to view a copy of your warehouse registration bearing the new expiry date.

Updating your licence/registration
Licensees are required to update their contact details, such as their mailing address, email, and contact numbers whenever there are changes.
You must submit a new application if there is a change in your UEN or location of your licensed premises.

The authorised person of the company holding the licence can update the licence using CorpPass or SingPass.
How much does it cost to update my licence?
There are no fees or costs to update your licence.
How do I update my licence?
Log into the GoBusiness portal and update your licence.
How long does it take to update details within my licence?
It takes approximately 3-5 minutes to log into the GoBusiness portal and update the contact details of your licence. Once you submit successfully, your contact details will be updated in the system.

Cancel your licence/registration
You should cancel your licence/registration if you are no longer operating your Coldstore, Food Processing Establishment, Slaughterhouse or Food Storage Warehouse.
You must cancel your licence if you have ceased operations, as licensees are responsible for all activities taking place at the licensed premises until the licence is officially cancelled.
Licences will continue to be renewed until they are officially cancelled, and there will be no refund of the renewal licence fees paid through GIRO arrangements.

How do I cancel my licence?
Allocate 10-20 minutes to follow the steps below:

Those on GIRO payment arrangements with SFA should also terminate the arrangement with their banks.
