Lifting of suspension of Hup Huat Noodles Pte Ltd’s food business operations

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has lifted the suspension of the food business operations of Hup Huat Noodles Pte Ltd, located at 10 Chin Bee Drive #05-00 Singapore 619861.

 2             On 4 December 2024, during an inspection of the said premises, non-compliances such as severe pest infestation (live cockroaches) and dirty floor and food-processing equipment were detected. In the interest of public health, SFA instructed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the food safety practices and cleanliness of its premises.

3              Hup Huat Noodles Pte Ltd, which was suspended from 4 December 2024, is allowed to resume operations as it has rectified the lapses that were identified leading to its suspension. Following the lifting of suspension, SFA will continue to place Hup Huat Noodles Pte Ltd under close surveillance to ensure they adhere to food safety requirements.

4           Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. While SFA continues to be vigilant and works to ensure regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.

5              All food operators should ensure their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on proper food safety management. SFA will not hesitate to take firm enforcement action, including prosecution in court, against offenders.
