The purpose of this tool is to assist you in determining the likely classification of your product. This enables you to understand the possible type of trader licence you require, as well as the corresponding set of requirements and supporting documents necessary for your application process.

Food importers and manufacturers are to note that all food additives must be approved by SFA before they can be allowed for used in food for sale in Singapore. The levels of permitted food additives used, both in imported and locally manufactured food, must also be within the maximum levels allowed under the Food Regulations.
