Raw food should be stored away from other food, especially cooked and ready-to-eat food to avoid cross-contamination. Keep them well covered, on the bottom shelf of the fridge or freezer so the juices from these raw food cannot drip onto other food.
TIP: After handling raw food, always wash hands, utensils and surfaces thoroughly and before any contact with other food.
